About the Author

Richard A. Gylgayton received his B.A. in English from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California where he had the good fortune to study with Robert Hass and a host of other talented and inspirational teachers. After a semester of graduate work at the Poetry Center at San Francisco State, he left academia and joined the work force of the “real world.” Nine years later he acquired his first personal computer and by means of his liberal arts education (which he describes as the “learning how to learn skill”) he developed a career as a network architect, engineer, teacher and technical project manager. Throughout his adult life he has continued to write poetry. Full Canvas is his first collection of work, gathered from poems written at intervals between 1977 and 2002. He maintains web sites at www.fuguemasters.com and www.poetryrag.com. His email address is:
